Day 25

So after our late evening we slept in a bit grabbed some breakfast which we finished in our room relaxed a bit and finally got ourselves ready to head into the city. We headed down and went straight to the I AMsterdam sign took a few fun photos before heading over to the Van Gogh Museum. The museum was wonderful we really enjoyed ourselves as we wandered the 3 floors reading about the progression of his artwork. After the museum we then headed over to the Albert Cuyp Market, which is just a little market that you can walk through with vendors. Cindy found her favorite souvenier of the trip, her Dutch clog slippers. She has yet to take them off and keeps thinking that she is a little Dutch elf. So after some shopping we grabbed some dinner at a pub and then started to head back to the hotel. Which once again was quite the adventure. We left the pub and immedialtey walked into a down pour (yay Amsterdam) ran down the street stopped one last time at Australian Homemade but not for Hot choclate this time but for chocolate truffles, yum. Back to the tram though we got to our tram stop and once again we waited, and waited and were finally informed that the 17 was not running. So we waited for about 3o more minutes before we were able to hop a tram (completely soaked) and headed back to the hotel. We were all tired so we showered, hung our clothes to dry, crawled into bed and watched some good old fashioned American tv, it was awesome. About 3 hours and 4 truffles each later we decided we were wiped and needed to sleep before the next day when we headed to Brussels.
