Day 8
So we luckily surrived the night ferry thank god. We shared our room or closet if you will with 2 other girls it reaked of diesel and was probably about 50 degrees. Lovely. Oh and you could shower and use the "facilities"at the same time! Woo!!! So once we arrived in Italy we boarded a bus and headed towards Rome. On our way to Rome we had a 3 hour tour of Pompeii.
The tour guide was hilarous. We were able to walk amongst the ruins of the city, learn about the history, drink from an original "water fountain" and visit the local brothel. It was quite the tour. The view was absolutely amazing though of the surrounding areas. We stopped for a lunch of pizza, salad (which had leaves in it finally!) and gelato at a local resturant that was run by the mafia! We then headed back onto the bus and made our way to Roma!
We arrived in Rome quite late that night so after unpacking in the room we had to ourselves (ya we were estatic) we vegged and walked around the square checking it out and made our plan for the next day.
